Starting over? Let go and come out of the cave
The old you can’t go with you into this new season. You need to let go and completely surrender to God and let go of the old you, that includes the renewing of your mind. Even if your body doesn’t want to go, once your mind is made up, the body will follow. Once the new you is dead and passed away, you can finally start living the authentic life you were meant to live, without comparing yourself to anyone else, or where you think you should be in life. And you are not walking blindly, the Lord is with you. Do you want to be an entrepreneur? Then act as if. What would that look like, step by step, from start to finish? Write everything down. Use your imagination. Create a vision board with practical steps. You are free in Christ. Shake off the chains and the grave clothes and allow yourself to think big. You deserve it.
Of course, it requires work, and the maturing and use of the gifts God specifically gave you. As believers in Jesus Christ, we all have this in common, to worship God and only God, not the creation, to love others as yourself, to help and love each other with your resources and gifts, to listen to and obey The Holy Spirit, and to die to ourselves daily, not treasuring earthly possessions and property more than a relationship with God. (Mark 10:17-31)
Use your gifts
Don’t be the one that never uses their gifts or keeps everything that could help someone to yourself. And don’t be a recluse either. Come out of hiding. God didn’t call us into His marvelous light so we can stay in the cave. (1 Peter 2:9) Even David, after being hidden by God, left the cave when it was time. Elijah returned all the way back to where he came from after traveling for over a month, and Jacob eventually faced his brother, after wrestling with God. (Genesis 32:24-32) God gave each of them the courage and strength to face their fears and keep going, and these stories took place thousands of years ago, yet still apply today. They’re not just facts, their truth.
Get moving
So get up and get ready. It’s time to truly fight back and get to work, even if you have to fight the old you, for the new you to take over. Come as you are. But you can’t stay the same. God will not turn you away when you search for Him wholeheartedly. God makes everything (all things) new, including you. And “He did not give us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7). So the voice of the enemy and the voices not of God, they have to go and be silenced. You are redeemed of the Lord, not of man. And God is not a man that He should lie.
Keep going
And I get it, sometimes we don’t want to be tough all the time. I will admit that sometimes I don’t want to do something for my kids that they could do on their own, or that someone else at home could do. Sometimes I just want to rest in quiet and stillness. Trust me, I have said to myself a few times, “Oh that I had wings like a dove; then I would fly away and rest! I would fly far away to the quiet of the wilderness.” (Psalms 55:6) But then nothing would get done. I could probably guess accurately how things would fall apart at home. It would be a hot mess express, and my kids would be running around looking crazy and there would be a hot mess everywhere. I mean I’m the zookeeper, the chef, the storyteller, the finder of missing toys and shoes, the hairdresser, the Drill Instructor, the nurse, the administrator, wife, employee, and the patient one most of the time. But that doesn’t define all of me. God defines me. And He has called me worthy, chosen, favored, beloved, and He has shown me that I shall soar.
I’m a Daughter of God Most High, I run to Him. I seek Him daily and all throughout the day. He said Himself, “Why would I tell my people to look for me if I could not be found?” (Isaiah 45:19) This is God we’re talking about, the Living God. And let’s not forget we’re the Bride of Christ. What does that mean to you? He wants intimacy with you, not performance. He wants your heart. Run to Him first. Acknowledge Him. Trust Him. Be still and know that He is God. (Psalms 46:10)
Have faith and be steady
You didn’t swim all this way to fall and die at the shore, did you? So, keep it moving. Your legacy is waiting. He is with you and will meet you there too. “For He who promised is faithful.” You are free. You will set captives free with your story, even if that captive is you, or someone you least expect. Change is beautiful and He gives you the grace to make it through. And to Him be all the glory. Have faith. Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. (Hebrews 11:1)
Joseph came out of the pit, and out of prison, and he didn’t seek revenge against his brothers. And he knew his bones would leave Egypt after many generations. The time is now to come out of the cave and to step into the newness of you, the authentic person you were always meant to be.

Such an encouragement to hear the Lord God speak through my fellow sister in Christ! I shall be still and know that He is God! As I take on a journey of growing deeper in my relationship with God, I keep running into His living scripture pertaining to being His bride. See Isaiah 54:5, Hosea 2:16, Hosea 2:19-20 Praise and Glory be to God on High!!! Amen…

Thank you for the support Sis. It means so much to me. I’m on part of this journey with you. The best place to be is with Him. In stillness with Him, we are established, refreshed, protected, strengthened and supported. (1 Peter 5:5-11) It’s one thing to hide, but to be hidden by Him so that He can bless you is another. Thanks for sharing. I love the Book of Isaiah and Hosea. Song of Songs is a powerful love letter to His Bride as well. Try reading it in The Passion Translation and let me know what you think.
I really enjoyed reading this, very inspiring. Sometimes waking up feeling hopeless and sad with God I know that I am able. Thank you for sharing this message with us.

Thank you sis. You can’t be a storm and feel defeated. 😉 God sees you. He strengthens you. I’m proud of you. Keep going, stay focused and keep your eyes on Him. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
