What are you most concerned about? Things you don’t have? Why? So you can feel better about yourself or actually help someone else?What happens when you’re older and retired?When your kids are out of the house or it’s just you and your spouse, if you have either? Lets say you’re in great health and you have everything you wanted, you feel accomplished and then you travel for a while, and you do everything on your bucket list and you get all the pics and receipts and post to your hearts desire on social media so the whole world can see, then what? Can you see the sadness in his eyes? A blind man can see it. But can you feel it? Can you relate in any way? He has it all, even before he got married and had kids, yet he doesn’t have Jesus Christ. The Living Water, the true Bread of Life. That’s Who he desperately needs.

Those who know me know I started with nothing. In the middle of DC in the middle of fighting between both parents, to the military, to where I am now. And I didn’t even think I would ever be married. And yet, even my husband, even how awesome it is to be married cannot fulfill my heart and my life the way GOD does. He is the true Lover and Shepherd of my heart and soul. It was always Him I was looking for. That’s why the song says “Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, who saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now I’m found, was blind but now I see.” I used to think it was a black person who wrote this song. Nope. And yet it speaks to you either way. The same way looking deep into the things of GOD with all your heart will speak life into your very soul. Life into your very bones and healing for your very soul. Wake up! The time is now. Don’t waste another minute.

Whatever you pay way more attention to than God has become your idol. Think about that for a second. And it can’t even save you. Even if you had all the money in the world and the best spouse. Even if you cast out demons in Jesus name, yet you don’t have the love of God, and the indwelling of The Holy Spirit you lose your very soul. This is why God refers to us as sheep. A sheep cannot exist without a shepherd. They have been known to walk right off of a cliff to their death and won’t even get close to loud water even if they’re dying of thirst due to fear. And yet Jesus is the Living Water and the Bread of Life. He is from Bethlehem, which is translated to “House of Bread” in Hebrew. That’s not an accident. Everything God does has a purpose. Everyone God created has a purpose too. And so do you. As a matter of fact, it is written, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
